DECEMBER 20, 2006:
Time for the Christmas Special !

It's that time of year again, time for the third annual Amanda & Michelle's Holiday Special. This one was kind of thrown together in a hurry because I wanted it to be up before Christmas day. I hope the rush doesn't show too much, and that you will enjoy it. This one is a little more sentimental than usual, which maybe has something to do with having been a mom for just over a year now? I noticed a couple of continuity errors while I was posting it, too, but I hope they don't detract from it too much.

If you're shopping for Boxing Day, remember that Not As They Seem makes a great gift! Besides being the best PW adventure ever, every sale helps support this website and contributing toward the continuation of the free content.

I look forward to reading your reactions on the MB. Have a safe holdiay season!

NOVEMBER 30, 2006:
The Leadstone Gambit continues!

The current series took a bit of a hiatus as I took the Summer off, and the special Not As They Seem featuring the classic PW took centre stage. Look no further, TLG resumes with Part 3, online today!

The full third installment is available to read online. Previously, pages were posted weekly but I wanted to get this issue out as quickly as I could so that I can concentrate on the getting the Christmas special ready. I've started sketching it, and as usual it has been a lot of fun. The Christmas comics are always a little more light-hearted and playful than the regular stories. For some reason they remind me of Liberty Meadows, another comic I quite enjoy (minus the talking animals!).

If you're Christmas shopping, remember that NATS makes a great gift! ;) Other methods of purchasing & reading this special comic are still in the works. I hope to have them available before the holidays, but it might not make it until the New Year. Stay tuned!

Don't forget that you can get in touch with me and other readers on the MB - I post there regularly, too.

OCTOBER 29, 2006:
Welcome back to the PW Online !

It's been a few months since a new comic has been posted, so thank you all for your patience. Now it's time to announce the project that I've been working on for over a year now...

Ponderous Woman: Not As They Seem is now available in print form! This is the first full-length, comic format story I've ever attempted. It's absolutely massive! And it's a story I'm really proud of. It features Joey Stewart as the Ponderous Woman, and lots of expansion for those of you who enjoy that sort of thing. ;)

Deciding to go with a pay-only comic was a hard decision for me. As long-time readers know, I take a certain pride in mainting this site free of charge to readers. But the scope of this project was so large, and took so long, I felt this one would be worth it. Also, all proceeds (just over $1 per issue) will go right back into helping me pay for this website and continuing to add more material in the future. So if you want to help support the PW, short of submitting some original artwork, this is probably the best way to do that!

I really hope you all enjoy NATS... I am in the process of trying to establish a "pay-to-read" delivery method for those of you who aren't interested in having a paper copy of the comic sent to you. Check back here for more details soon!

Never fear, there is more of The Leadstone Gambit - Part 2 coming in the very near future! I'm also trying to figure out what I can do for a Christmas story this year.

As always, please let me know your thoughts on the MB - good or bad! I will read all of them and respond as best I can.

SEPTEMBER 3 , 2006:
Happy Labour Day !

I hope everyone had a nice Summer. Unfortunately, everyone's going back to school, or back to work, and the Summer is now over. Sigh! We had a great little holiday (see my post in the MB for more info), but now it's time to get back to my day job. And of course, some sketching...

Since you've probably read The Leadstone Gambit - Part 2 a few times if you've been coming to the site throughout August, I must let you know the series will continue in the next month or so. My goal is to have the series finished before the end of the year, in time for another Christmas special.

In the meantime, the Character Index has been updated. Be sure to check that out, and remember to keep checking back regularly, because there will be a big announcement coming very shortly.

I urge everyone who wants to support the PW to check out the MB and share your thoughts. If you enjoy reading all of the free content posted here on the Web, the best thing you can do is raise your voice (or your type, I guess! ;) and let me - and everyone else - know it!

JULY 29, 2006:
Part 2 is complete with this week's page !

Whew, it was a bit of a maraton for me, getting The Leadstone Gambit - Part 2 done in weekly installments, but with the addition of Page Five, this segment of our story is complete. I hope you don't mind if I take a bit of a breather and enjoy some of the rest of the summer with my family!

I'm always really anxious to hear what you think of the comic, so please feel free to check out the MB and share your thoughts, positive or negative. As always, if there's something you'd like to see, be sure to suggest it!

There will be a few more Summer updates I think, but I am going to hold off on posting the next comic for a few weeks. Stay tuned for more info. Until then, enjoy the Summer while it lasts!

JULY 22, 2006:
Another weekly page, another new super power!

Page four of The Leadstone Gambit - Part 2 is up now, and I'm sure you're going to love it! Finally some of the mystery surrounding Lori is revealed.

If you've been reading the MB you will already know I had the flu. It wasn't really too terrible, but it put me out of commission for a few days. Luckily it won't affect the posting of weekly pages.

Be sure to head back next week to read the final page of Part 2. Until then, take some time out to relax and enjoy the Summer!

JULY 15, 2006:
The weekly pages continue...

Page three of The Leadstone Gambit - Part 2 is now online. As usual, another page will be posted in a week.

I hope everyone is enjoying the weekly updates. It's working out very nicely for me at the moment, as I've been so busy at home and at work that I don't have a lot of consecutive time to devote to drawing. It allows me to whip off a page and get it up without worrying about all the pages that come after. I hope it's keeping your interest up as you read, too!

Because the Summer is traditionally so busy, it looks like TLG will be taking a break for a few weeks in August, once Part 2 is finished. This will give my family some time to go on vacation and just take life a little easier. But I'll make sure there's at least a little something new to keep regular visitors to the site interested.

JULY 8, 2006:
Welcome back for more weekly pages!

The second page ofThe Leadstone Gambit - Part 2 is now available online. Whew, I could barely manage to get this one out on time! There is just so much going on around here as the Summer begins... I certainly hope all of you reading are having a great season!

More weekly page updates will follow! If you have any feedback, ideas or words of encouragement, be sure to be vocal about it on the MB, As always, you can also drop me an email!

JULY 1, 2006:
Happy Canada Day!

Your first gift of Canada Day this year will be the first page of The Leadstone Gambit - Part 2! Once again I will endeavour to update pages weekly. Let another summer of fun begin!

Getting pages done is kind of tough lately. Work has been very busy, home has been very busy - that is why I'm going for the weekly page updates again. If I can focus on just one page, it's a little easier to manage. I don't know if every issue will come out this way.

I know it sounds crazy, but I'm already trying to think up some ideas for this year's Christmas special! If anyone has any ideas, please post them in the MB, or drop me an email!

JUNE 10, 2006:
Week four, page four!

The final page of The Leadstone Gambit - Part 1 has just been posted. I'm anxious to get your thoughts and responses about the start of this new series, what you liked and what you didn't like. Please take a minute to post on the Message Board (no registration necessary!).

In a day or two I will likely post my own thoughts on Part 1 at the MB as well. And in a couple of weeks I'll begin posting of Part 2, but in the meantime I am going to take the next two weeks off. I won't be resting, however - I'm working on some other stuff that will be coming up on the site, and some other features you will get to see soon.

There's lots of good ponderous stuff coming, so please stay tuned!

JUNE 3, 2006:
This week's page is updated!

Page three of The Leadstone Gambit - Part 1 is now online. Next week the final page of Part 1 will be posted. You're weclome to post your reactions and ideas to the series on the Message Board, as always.

I've already started work on Part 2, and am still debating how to post it (all at once or weekly pages). When I can I'm working on some other stuff too, which should come up later this Summer...

MAY 27, 2006:
Weekly page updates continue...!

This week The Leadstone Gambit - Part 1 continues! I hope you enjoy it, and that you get a kick out of the weekly updates. Of course, as awlays, let me know your opinions on the Message Board!

Next week a new page will be up, so be sure to stay tuned. I'm not sure whether I will stick with weekly page updates or not. Part Two might be posted in one go, but I'm open to suggestions.

MAY 22, 2006:
Let the new series begin!

You've all been extremely patient with me as I've gotten to a slow start this year in bring out new content. Of course it's mostly related to my new roll as mom, which I am enjoying immensely as well. Anyhow, your patience has now paid off!

This week The Leadstone Gambit begins! The first part will be posted in weekly page updates (mostly because I still have to finish the last page! D'oh!). This week, however, you get a special extra page - a page from Michelle's journal. I hope you enjoy it, and that you'll let me know what you think on the Message Board as the story unfolds.

Also, please see the new entry in the Character Index for the addition of another new regular character!

Season three of the NPW has begun, I hope it exceeds your expectations!

APRIL 10, 2005:
With the new season comes a new site update!

I'm sure a lot of you have found the site to be kind of quiet since The Fall of Arcane ended... Please know it's not a reflection of my losing interest in the PW - I'm not! - but it's been a busy year for our household. Having a baby around takes presedence over everything else, as those of you with kids already know, so it's just taking me longer to get the extracuricular stuff done.

I finally have a new Character Index started, which is something I've wanted to improve for a long time. You can check out the first three new enries (Amanada, Michelle and Samantha). There are more to come! Some of the next ones will contain little "spoilers" for the new series. ;-)

The new series is still coming! Also, the full-length comic is progressing, albeit at a slow pace! Both of these should be ready to go this Summer. I hope to have the new series started next month, so please stay tuned.

JANUARY 25 , 2006:
Welcome back to the PW Online!

Happy New Year, faithful readers! The last few years have been pretty busy for this website, and 2005 was particularly successful with the publication of The Fall of Arcane online, along with a few other projects and a major website update.

Much better than that, however, was the birth of our daughter. It has been a truly incredible few months watching her grow and thrive. I'm sure that 2006 will be even better!

I posted a piece on the Message Board about what is coming up in 2006. I have lots of ideas and plans, but my daughter sleeping on my lap right now, I'm finding it hard to get motivated to work on them! Still, I promise to have some new goodies for you very shortly.

Also, if you want a few pages of original artwork from past PW stories, please email me with your mailing address. I am cleaning out my pile of artwork, and if no one else saves it I will throw it into the garbage. I can't guarantee everyone will get something, but I will be giving it away on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Take care, Brenda
